It is with great sorrow that I mention the passing of a friend and a great talent, Giorgio Faletti, who passed away this weekend in Italy.
Giorgio was the consummate entertainer–a renowned television and movie actor, a musician, a comedian, and one of the most popular thriller writers in Europe. Giorgio’s true gift was his instinctive ability to captivate his audience, whether theatrical or literary, and make them laugh or cry and be held in awe at the stories he spun. He was also one of the most generous of souls, always supporting new writers, actors and entertainers.
Our thoughts go out to his wife, Roberta, his family and his many friends and colleagues in Italy and throughout the world–for he was a universal talent, whose voice transcended geographic borders, and cultural boundaries.
He will truly be missed.
