Mystery in the Midlands Virtual Conference

July 25, 2020—10am EDT to 2:30pm EDT

Mystery in the Midlands, a mid-summer conference sponsored by the Palmetto Chapter of Sisters in Crime and the Southeastern Region of Mystery Writers of America, is typically held in “Famously Hot” Columbia, South Carolina. But thanks to Covid-19, this year’s event will be virtual via CrowdCast. This half-day workshop will feature Charlaine Harris, best known for The Southern Vampire Mysteries, adapted as the TV series True Blood. In addition, John Floyd, Tara Laskowski, and Art Taylor will discuss short stories, and Alexia Gordon, Toni L.P. Kelner, and Gigi Pandian will talk about paranormal stories. A third panel will feature Charlaine Harris, Dana Cameron and Jeffery Deaver talking about novels to screenplays. Dana Kaye will moderate the conference.
